Businesses in the New Forest are being given the opportunity to improve their basic business skills with a series of specially designed workshops to help them become more efficient, profitable and successful.
Seven workshops, starting from 13 October, will be run throughout the autumn and winter with topics including business planning, marketing, credit management and social media.
All workshops will run for half a day and will take place at the Bartley Lodge Hotel, Cadnam. The topics have been carefully chosen following consultation with and feedback from the local business community on the issues they feel most important.
The courses are being run as a joint venture between the New Forest Business Partnership (NFBP) and ABC Business Support; this is a new initiative which has been identified by NFBP following the reduction in government funded business support.
NFBP Chairman Rob Dewing said: “These workshops present an opportunity for businesses to take time out and work on their business rather than in it. We believe these courses offer superb value for money and will leave attendees feeling far more positive in these difficult times.”
Businesses signing up for the workshops may be eligible to claim back up to 50% of the course fees under the Skills Agency’s Leadership and Management Funding. Furthermore, members of NFBP can receive these workshops at a discounted rate and those booking for all seven sessions will receive one free.
